Water damage, handled before mold gets a foothold.

A burst pipe or a slow leak doesn't stay contained — left alone, it soaks into flooring, drywall, and subfloor, and Charlotte's humidity turns that moisture into a mold problem within days. Pure Charlotte extracts the water, dries the structure with industrial equipment, and treats for mold before we call the job done — all with 24/7 emergency response.

Water Damage, Handled Right

Home health specialists. Why people choose Pure Charlotte for water damage.

Water damage restoration isn't just about drying carpet — it's about stopping the mold that follows. We built our water mitigation process around mold prevention from day one, not as an afterthought bolted on at the end.

We understand

We've walked countless Charlotte families through water and mold damage, and we know how disruptive it is to your home and your health. We treat your recovery like it's the only job on our schedule.

Mold first

We started as a mold remediation business and expanded into water damage restoration and crawl space services around it — so mold prevention is built into every water job, not bolted on afterward.

Effectiveness guaranteed

Our scientifically-validated mold-prevention step effectively eliminates the mold risk that follows water damage — reducing the chance it comes back.

Warranty

The mold-prevention step of our water restoration process is backed by the same 1–Year Free Re-treatment Warranty as our standalone mold treatments.

Locally owned and operated

Pure Charlotte is locally owned and passionate about serving homes across the Charlotte metro and the Piedmont region.

24/7 emergency response

Water damage escalates by the hour. We respond around the clock so it's addressed before it spreads — and before mold gets its chance.

InstaPURE antimicrobial dry-fog treatment being applied
Inside The Mold-Prevention Step

Why water restoration doesn't stop at “dry.”

Drying equipment gets the moisture out. It doesn't do anything about the mold spores that started multiplying while your home was wet. Once your structure reads dry, our patented InstaPURE dry-fog treatment — the same VaPURE™ technology behind our standalone mold remediation service — reaches the micro-cracks and crevices standard drying misses, so mold doesn't get a second chance to take hold.

  • Reaches micro-cracks and crevices traditional methods can't
  • EverPURE™ antimicrobial protectant layer left behind
  • Same 1–Year Free Re-treatment Warranty as standalone mold treatments
  • No relocation, and in most cases no additional demolition
Why Speed Matters

What happens if water damage goes untreated.

Whether it's a burst pipe, a slow leak in a drain, or a drip behind a wall you can't see, water damage inevitably breaks down your home's building materials and your air quality. Charlotte's humid subtropical summers — and clay soil that drains slowly — only speed up the timeline.

  • Mold growth and associated health risks — the longer water sits, the faster spores establish and spread through your home.
  • Toxin exposure — some of the mold species that follow water damage can produce mycotoxins as they establish.
  • Airborne contaminants and pollutants — moisture breaks down building materials and releases particulates into the air you breathe.
  • Bacteria exposure — standing water can carry bacterial risk beyond mold alone, especially the longer it's left in place.
The Water Mitigation Process

Four steps. One clear outcome.

Every water damage call follows the same protocol — find it, stop it, treat the mold risk, protect against recurrence. Here's the high-level view; the detailed walkthrough follows below.

  1. 01

We identify the source and extent

A comprehensive inspection finds the cause and reach of water intrusion, using hygrometers, moisture meters, and infrared cameras.

  2. 02

    We stop the source first

Before any drying or mold work begins, we isolate and eliminate the source of water — a burst pipe, a failed appliance, a roof leak.

  3. 03

    We target existing mold risk

Where water sat long enough for mold to take hold, our patented InstaPURE dry-fog treatment reaches the micro-cracks and crevices standard methods miss.

  4. 04

    We prevent future growth

The EverPURE™ antimicrobial protectant layer, plus an optional recurring re-inspection under our Peace of Mind Warranty Plan, keeps mold from coming back.

Detailed Walkthrough

From standing water to rebuilt home. How it works.

Water damage restoration follows four stages — demolition, drying, mold remediation, and rebuild. No improvisation, no upsells, no surprises.

01  Demolition

We expose what the water touched.

If necessary, we remove building materials like cabinets, flooring, and shower surrounds that are exposing areas with water damage — so nothing wet stays hidden behind a wall or under a floor.

Every home is different, and how far the demolition needs to go depends on how long the water sat and what it touched. We walk you through exactly what needs to come out and why before we start.

02  Drying

Once it's exposed, we dry it fast.

With wet surfaces fully exposed, we bring in industrial drying equipment — air movers and dehumidifiers — and leave it running to speed the drying process.

In Charlotte's humidity, especially through summer storm season, drying slower than moisture accumulates just gives mold a longer runway. We monitor moisture levels until the structure reads dry, not just until it looks dry.

03  Mold Remediation

If mold's already started, we treat it now.

Where needed, we treat the home with our patented dry-fog process — the same InstaPURE technology behind our standalone mold remediation service — to eliminate existing mold and minimize the risk it comes back.

We always assume mold is present until proven otherwise. It's easier to treat proactively before the rebuild than to find it again after the walls are closed up.

04  Rebuild

We don't rebuild until we know it worked.

1–Year Free Re-treatment Warranty: the mold-prevention step of our water restoration process is backed by the same warranty as our standalone mold treatments — see full terms in the FAQ below.

Once the mold treatment is confirmed effective, the rebuild process starts to return your home to its original condition. We work with a number of trusted partners who specialize in every step of the rebuild, and we're happy to coordinate directly with your insurance.

The Evidence

Peer-reviewed studies that back the mold-prevention step.

Once your home is dry, the mold-prevention treatment we apply is the same InstaPURE™ / VaPURE™ dry-fog chemistry used in our standalone mold remediation service — and it's backed by the same independent research.

Frequently Asked

Questions about water mitigation.

Water damage is resolved in 4 steps: Demolition (removing building materials like cabinets, flooring, and showers that are exposing water-damaged areas), Drying (industrial drying equipment left behind once wet surfaces are fully exposed), Mold Remediation (treating the home with our dry-fog process where needed to eliminate mold and minimize recurrence risk), and Rebuild (once the mold treatment is confirmed effective, we return the home to its original condition).

Yes. Our team works with insurance every day and can walk you through the entire process. We're happy to coordinate with your insurance company, but we prioritize your needs and health over the needs of an insurer — we won't cut a corner because a claim says to.

We work with a number of trusted partners who specialize in every step of the restoration and rebuild process, so you're not left coordinating multiple contractors on your own.

When water is involved we typically want to get started immediately to minimize damage — that's why we offer 24/7 emergency response. We'll work with you on coordinating timing that makes sense for you.

Usually, yes — water leaks cause mold growth. We always assume mold is present until proven otherwise, so we'll take the necessary steps to protect you and your home. Before the rebuild starts we perform our mold treatment process to make sure your home is healthy again.

Yes. We work with the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification), NORMI (National Organization of Remediators and Microbial Inspectors), and MICRO (Mold Inspection Consulting and Remediation Organization) to keep our team fully up to date on recommended practices and procedures to keep you and your home safe.

In most cases, yes. Water damage is time-sensitive, so our 24/7 emergency response is built around getting extraction and drying equipment on site as fast as possible — the sooner we start, the less demolition and mold risk you're likely to face.
