Our Dry Fog Process

Our dry fog destroys mold spores.

Other companies use fog to treat mold, even with similar chemicals. What's different is how we use them — and how it benefits you. Our patented two-part dry-fog process is the most effective mold solution for your home, extensively researched by the Army Corps of Engineers.

A "Dry" Fog, Explained

Why size is everything.

A "dry" fog means the particles are so small they bounce off surfaces instead of sticking and creating moisture. That gives us a number of unique benefits: our particles are half the size of a mold spore, so anywhere mold can get, we can get. Because it's so effective, we can also use a lower concentration of chemicals in your home — and the treatment is safe for electronics and home furnishings.

Stage 1 · Treatment EPA Safer Choice Green Circle rated

InstaPURE™ — fast, safe mold remediation and disinfection

Stage 1 of the Pure Charlotte two-part dry-fog process

Every active ingredient in the InstaPURE™ process is marked "Green Circle" on the EPA's Safer Choice list — the best possible rating available. Here's the breakdown of the chemistry that does the work during the dry-fog mold-eradication stage.

Acetic Acid

A household disinfectant — when mixed with water it becomes vinegar.

Peracetic Acid

A common disinfectant that does most of the heavy lifting during treatment. By the time we're done, no trace of it remains in the home.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Also commonly found in the home — used as an antiseptic for cuts and scrapes.

Together, these three ingredients dispersed as an ultra-fine dry fog reach mold and odor-causing bacteria throughout your home without leaving a film or residue behind — at least one-tenth the size of a conventional fogging droplet, and half the size of a mold spore.

Because the particles are so fine, they stay airborne longer and travel into micro-cracks and crevices that a wet spray simply can't reach without soaking the surface.

Stage 2 · Prevention Mechanical, not chemical Backbone of our warranty

EverPURE™ — preventing future mold growth

Stage 2 of the Pure Charlotte two-part dry-fog process

As the backbone of our warranty, EverPURE™ uses mechanical means, not chemical reactions, to protect your home after we leave. After treatment, all surfaces carry an antimicrobial layer with microscopic spikes facing outward.

500T Spikes fit on the surface of a single quarter
1/1,000 The size of a human hair, per spike
+ Each spike carries a positive electrical charge from a single Nitrogen atom

Bacteria, mold, and other unwanted microbes are negatively charged — and attracted to the spikes like magnets. On impact, the spikes physically tear the cells apart. There's no residue, texture, or chemical release, and you'll never know the spikes are there.

It's an ongoing, physical line of defense rather than a chemical one — which is why it keeps working long after the InstaPURE™ stage has finished and dissipated.

Third-Party Verified Army Corps of Engineers Element Labs

Effectiveness verified by independent testing

Third-party lab analysis · every treatment

Our patented two-part dry-fog formula makes us a leading local provider of effective mold solutions — and we take pride in our effectiveness being verified by the Army Corps of Engineers. In addition to a third-party lab confirming results on every job, a study was also performed by Element Labs to verify the process.

We don't ask you to take our word for it. We always perform before-and-after air sampling so you and we can both be confident the treatment worked as expected and your home is back to a healthy place.

The EPA has tested results out to 90 days. Our warranty goes considerably further than that — as long as moisture and water problems remain resolved, homes have shown to stay mold-free for years longer.
